About me

I am a passionate and committed feminist, with over 15 years’ experience in the development and humanitarian sector. I have had the privilege of living and working in the UK, Viet Nam, Tanzania, Jordan and Kenya and I have worked for a variety of different organisations, ranging from local non-profits, to international NGOs, to research think tanks. For over 11 years I have worked for some of the biggest thought leading organisations spearheading gender equality work, including CARE International; Marie Stopes International; Hivos; International Rescue Committee and UNFPA. During this time, I have listened, learnt, reflected and evolved; this has led me to establish core values and beliefs around how certain areas of work should be created and implemented.

It is this same listening and learning that drew me into the world of women’s hormone health. The more I looked, the clearer it became: this is an area of health that remains under-researched and side-lined, where far too many women are gaslit, dismissed or misinformed about what is happening in their own bodies.

Conventional medicine too often reaches for a prescription that silences the symptom while the cause goes unexamined. I trained as a women’s hormone health coach because I want to be part of the growing revolution and awakening that is changing this: one that gives women the space to learn and listen to their bodies, to care for themselves, to heal, and to treat their health and wellbeing as a priority rather than an afterthought. Because knowledge is power — and helping women claim both is at the heart of everything Cyclica does.

What’s in a name?

The name Cyclica is inspired by women’s deep and inherent wisdom. When we are grounded in ourselves and that inner work on our unique rhythm has been explored, we can illuminate, inspire and break down the structures of oppression. We are not irrational, hormonal or out of control. We should listen to that powerful inner truth and awaken into ourselves.

Our Values

Equity and Equality
Every woman’s experience is shaped by overlapping identities and barriers. We work for a world – and offer support – that recognises this complexity rather than flattening it.

Emotional Intelligence
We practise feminist leadership in every relationship: honouring different lived experiences, holding space with integrity and respect, and recognising that time, capacity and energy move in rhythms, not straight lines.

Solidarity
We stand with those held back by injustice and inequality, wherever they are found. Our work is rooted in human connection and the collective power of communities and movements to drive change.

Quality
We hold our work to the highest standard, whoever it’s for: grounded in evidence, led by the needs of the people we serve, and honouring their agency at every step. No shortcuts, no generic answers.

Accountability and Transparency
We are answerable to the people we serve – organisations and individuals alike – and honest about what we do, how we work, and what we know.

Approaches

Evidence-based

Knowledge about what works comes from many places: rigorous research, practitioner experience, and the traditional wisdom and lived expertise of communities themselves. Too often these stay disconnected — formal evidence locked in academic silos, community knowledge overlooked or undervalued — Cyclica works to bring them together.

For organisations: We help our partners draw on existing data and evidence, generate new findings, and — just as importantly — recognise and elevate the knowledge communities already hold, so that programmes are designed with people rather than for them.

For individuals: We bring you the science of your own body — and we treat your lived experience as evidence too. What you’ve noticed, tracked and felt matters; coaching connects it with established research so the two illuminate each other.

Transformative

Lasting change doesn’t come from surface fixes. It comes from challenging the harmful norms, beliefs and stereotypes that shape how we live — and daring to question what we’ve always been told is fixed, natural or inevitable.

For organisations: We adapt proven social norm change curricula and training materials to support staff, organisational cultures and communities to reflect on the norms and practices that shape their lives — because when this happens within peer and community structures, a wave of change can occur.

For individuals: Transformation begins the moment you decide your wellbeing is worth understanding. We equip you with the knowledge to rewrite what you believe about your body — to recognise your cycle as a source of insight rather than a limitation — and to make choices from a place of understanding, not resignation.

Intersectional and integrated

Interlocking systems of oppression compound one another, and every person’s lived experience is unique. We centre and elevate the voices of those who face economic, social and structural barriers in multiple ways.

For organisations: We integrate intersectional analysis across the full programme cycle — research, design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation — so no one’s experience is flattened or left out.

For individuals: Your health doesn’t exist in a vacuum. We look at the whole picture — your body, your history, your circumstances and the pressures you carry — because the right support is the support that fits your life.
